Learn the aluminum rigid inflatable boats production process
Yoolwin yacht focus on RIB boat designing/ manufacturing/ export/ update. Mainly produce aluminum rib boat, fiberglass RIB boat size from 3m to 11m. Following is the detailed production process for aluminum rigid inflatable boats:
1. Aluminum RIB Boat structure design:
To design one higher performance and reliable aluminum RIB boat, there are many main factors: aluminum rib boat usage/ marine engineering principles/ safety and performance.
(1). Aluminum RIB inflatable boat regular usage: recreational (leisure/ water sports/ cruising), professional usage (coastal guard/ government rescue/ patrol/ research), commercial (rowing/ fishing/ tourism/ cargo loading/passenger transporting). Different inflatable boats with different usages. So the boat will design with different structures.
(2). Marine engineering principles
Yoolwin Yacht with professional boat engineer, also cooperate with Italian popular boat design team. Aluminum ribs should confirm the boat length/ width/ deadrise/ shallow draft/ max load person/ max load weight. Each design come out, engineer will test with mechanical system first. Confirm each ribs can reach safety standard and also with high performance.
(3). Aluminum Ribs should design with boat standard. Such as CE (Europe Union)/ IMO (International Maritime Organization) standard.
2. Aluminum material cutting:
Each aluminum hull rigid boats before start to cut the aluminum material, the precious design and structure should come out. Includes outside frame, inside boat structure.
All our aluminum RIB boat choose marine grade aluminum material 5083, whole material certified with CCS documents. These aluminum material will offer excellent corrosion resistance, long lifetime and withstanding in different water conditions, fresh water or salt water on the sea. Compare aluminum 5083 with 5022, it is with better tensile strength. With different thickness aluminum plate, can be used for differennt aluminum inflatable boats size and different postions.
Whole boat material use computer numberical control (CNC) cutting machine, to confirm boat material cutting match the design drawing, increase the cutting precison. Can keep the errer of less than 0.5mm. CNC technology ensures the aluminum rib boats that cutting dimensions of hull components, outside plates/ inside structure/ center console/ driver seat structure integrity.
3. Aluminum parts welding:
Aluminum parts welding process will decide the hull wter tightness/ loading max weight/ loading max capacity/ service life etc.
(1). Preparation: All aluminum parts will do with acid preparation before welding. Can much reduce the aluminum material outside oil/ dust/ oxide layers.
(2). Postion: All the aluminum parts after acid preparation, when start to weld, should fix with standard postion first. Fix to ensure the hull diameters remain accurate during welding. And error inside the welding process will lead to the hull shape unbalance.
(3). Yoolwin yacht engineers and welding workers professional enough, with more than 10 years production skills. So when do the welding process, can keep smooth and directly, Not keep the hull with better enhance, also with better outside appearance.
4. Painting:
Painting process can supply two different functions: corrosion protection (extending the aluminum hull use life in seawater) and aesthetic enhancement (customizing appearance and improving UV resistance). The process requires strict surface pretreatment and high-quality marine paints.
(1). Surface treatment: whole aluminum ribs hull will treat with acid process whole. Removes the oxide layer/ oil/ dirty on the surface. The film can increase the boat use time in different water conditions. Fresh water for lakes or rivers, seawater etc. Marine grade aluminum 5083 material, also with better quality than other material, so the whole boat performance will be much better.
(2). Power coating painting process is used for all the aluminum inflatable boats. After this process will also with dry and strength.
5. Tube making:
All our Aluminum Rigid Inflatable Boats can choose different tube material. PVC (China brand/ Mehler brand from German), Taiwan Hypalon, Orca Hypalon (828 thickness 1.0mm, 866 thickness 1.25mm). Also tube color and shape can do customizations.
According to boat different lengths, each tube is with different quantities of air chambers. Even tube when sailing on the sea, one of the air chamber break, others also can keep the tube safety and boat come back. All the tube with inflate/ deflate valves, also with pressure safety valve, keep the air chambers with suitable pressure, these confirm boat can keep suitable pressure under different weather and temperatures.
6. Accessories installation:
Aluminum RIBs designed with different functions. So each boat also with different optional accessories.
Hard T-top and bimini sun shade: this keep driver and passengers from high temeperature and UV.
Fishing finder: Normally equip with Garmin brand, suitable to position the fishing groups. Whole boat can be commercial usage, like fishing/ rowing/ family leisure boats.
GPS/ Radar/ VHF: normally army inflatable boats will equip with this, to be used for rescue/ research/ coastal guar usage ribs.
EVA flooring/ Real teak wood flooring/ marine stereo etc.
